Whale cove is much too small. Less than 1/8 mile across. And it has a rocky shoreline. Additionally, no ethnographic discoveries were uncovered in 3 or 4 digs around the cove.
Nehalem Bay is bordered by Neahkahnie Mountain where a land survey was discovered in 1971 by Jensen and Viles. Verified by Costaggini Oregon State Master thesis 1982.
