Kevin’s podcast about Drake’s West Coast Landing had me on the edge of my seat. I have long assumed the site of Sir Francis Drake’s landing in California was well known. After all, we have a Drake’s Bay. It turns out I was wrong, and that the search for the actual landing site is a fascinating tale in itself. Kevin Woodruff does a masterful job of teasing out the rival claimants in a way that makes his podcast come across as a mystery play. Well done!
